Update: April, 2008 In February of 2007, I was hired by the Pikes Peak Library District to provide part-time helpdesk support. Shortly after that, I was hired as the full time I.T. Help Desk technician. Since then, I have had to balance my new full-time job with the needs of my company, Computer Doc, as well as making time for my family. Because of the demands on my time, I reluctantly decided not to actively pursue new customers for Computer Doc. I have continued to service existing customers, and have also taken on a select few new customers by way of referrals. If you are looking for someone to provide onsite service for your business or home, I am sorry that I will be unable to take you on as a customer. I believe every customer should receive the absolute best service possible. If I spread myself too thin, I would be unable to provide the level of service my customers are entitled to. John George (Computer
Doc) has been in the Information Technology field since 1995, first providing
support for Windows 95 when it was released.
Before that, he provided onsite support and repair for copiers and FAX
machines for several companies. During the latter half of
the 1990’s, while working on the PC Help Desk at Compaq Computer Corporation,
he studied for the Microsoft MCSE certification. In the spring of 1999 he passed the sixth test, making him a
full fledged MCSE on Windows NT4. In June of 2001, he
received the Windows 2000 MCSE certification, making him one of the early
achievers of the MCSE on Windows 2000. In the spring of 2004, he
became an MCSA on Windows Server 2003, and currently has only one final test to
pass to give him the MCSE on Windows 2003. From 1996 until 1999,
John was a senior member of Compaq’s multivendor PC Support Desk, providing
technical support for a wide range of computers and printers. Altogether, he supported every commercial printer made by HP,
Lexmark, and Digital Equipment, along with every major brand of Personal
Computer. He also provided technical support for Compaq’s Proliant line of
servers. In 1999, John moved to
Compaq’s Mission Critical support center, and provided high level software and
hardware support to enterprise level customers such as power companies,
universities, manufacturing companies, and financial institutions. During the
five years in this position, he helped his customers save millions of dollars by
providing proactive and reactive support for their large networks. Computer Doc is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the shadow of Pikes Peak. John is a seasoned professional with many years of experience, and a commitment to provide the best customer support experience possible.
